Due to it’s rose color, Rhodonite is named after the Greek word Rhodon. Rhodonite assists in forgiveness and unselfish love. It heals emotional shock and trauma. Rhodonite is a stone of compassion, an emotional healer that clears away emotional wounds and scars from the past.

Massachusetts designated Rhodonite as it’s official state gemstone.
